Importing and Exporting Data

How do I import data into the system?
The primary means of data import is through a Excel/CSV file load. Here is a file template to load the basic survey response data that can include ratings, open ended repsonses, date/time and user ID information. If you wish to import user attributes you can use this template.

Once you set up your categorizations, you can even email a file to the system and it will be processed for you asynchronously.

What export formats are supported?
The default export format is CSV (comma separated values) which works with 99% of the data analysis systems. We can also provide the data in XML and JSON. Let us know if you have a specific data export requirement.
What can be exported out of the system?
You can export the list of categories that you created and used. The mapped categories for each verbatim can also be exported for your datasets. The system provides a lot of analytic views. You can export the underlying data or export the pre-made graphs for use in your presentations.

Setup and Configuration

What is the time required to setup my own system?
The setup time is usually in days. We like to start with an understanding of the size and scope of your requirements as that helps us provision the best infrastructure slice to suite your needs. Once ready, you can log in and start using the system right-away.
What should I expect to see in an hour after uploading my first data set?
Immediately after loading the data, you should be able to get a good glimpse of the hot topics in the verbatims. It is very useful to define the domain specific product, service attributes when you load your data. Using the built-in category sets, you can expect to see about 30-50% of your data categorized in at least one category. Keep in mind though, this metric by itself may be misleading in terms of the extracted insights from the data sets.

Tell me about the options for ongoing help should I need any?
The system is designed to be used with very little hand-holding and does not need a lot of upfront training. In certain cases, however, you may specific needs for help and we offer support options, such as, Jump Start Training, Categorization Deep Dive, Custom Categorization, and Custom Insight Extraction.
